WALTON NE CHAIR



Most attractive chairs evolve over time. Slight changes are made on the actual chair itself that make it more appealing to a different or larger group of customers, or a new chair emerges that incorporates some of the look of the old. You can see this evolution taking place from Peter’s Walton chair to the Lizanne. Peter also ended up going back to the Walton after designing the Lizanne to see if a forward facing bow on the back support could work visually on his first chair as it does on the Lizanne.  Thus the creation of the Walton NE  (New Edition).  Customers now have the choice of purchasing one of the popular Walton originals or the Walton NE. The only difference between the two is how the back support is curved. The back boards on the Walton originals mimic the curve of the back leg coming off the seat whereas the Walton NE has a backboard that bows towards the front of the chair, “dancing” away from the back legs instead of flowing with them. This is a small but interesting change to the original design and is left to the choice of the customer.
